Maths Information for Parents

PAMP was developed by a group of practising teachers working in partnership to raise attainment in primary maths . It is rooted in current research into best practice in mathematics teaching and learning. It aims to develop children's conceptual understanding and skills proficiency, underpinned by a strong commitment to problem solving, reasoning and fluency.

Reading and Phonics Information for Parents 

Read Write Inc. Phonics teaches children to read accurately and fluently with good comprehension. They learn to form each letter, spell correctly, and compose their ideas step-by-step.

 Children who have completed the Read Write Inc programme then move on to Destination Reader which teaches more complex reading skills. You can use the document below to support your child with their reading at home.

What to Expect in the Early Years

The DfE have funded a very useful guide for parents to explain the development stages that children may experience in their Early Years.  Parents and carers may find this helpful in reading how they can support their child with their development at home and what to expect at each stage.
