Uniform
Lime Academy Abbotsmede ask for all parents’ co-operation in maintaining our high standards of school uniform. We believe that a uniform helps to promote a good working environment and a positive attitude to learning.
Our school uniform has been reviewed and in order to reduce costs to parents, some changes have been made. Existing uniform remains appropriate and pupils can continue to wear that.
Through our uniform and dress code we aim to:
- Encourage pride in our academy
- Support teaching and learning
- Enable pupils to be comfortable, safe and secure
- Encourage a sense of equality and belonging to the academy community
Pupil Uniform: Boys
- White shirt
- Dark grey trousers
- Navy blue jumper or tank top with green stripe and school logo.
- Plain navy, grey or white socks
- Black school shoes – no trainers or pumps
- Black or navy coat
Optional uniform for summer term ONLY:
- Dark Grey shorts
- Short sleeved white collard shirt
Children should wear school shoes in school and to and from school. Trainers may only be worn during PE lessons and break times. For health and safety reasons children should not wear open-toe sandals.
Pupil Uniform: Girls
- White blouse
- Dark grey knee-length skirt, dark grey pinafore dress or dark grey trousers
- Navy blue jumper, cardigan or tank top with lime stripe and school logo
- Plain navy, grey or white tights or socks
- Black flat school shoes – no ballerina pumps or trainers
- Navy blue head scarf if required for religious reasons
- Black or navy coat
Optional uniform for summer term ONLY:
- Dark blue gingham check dress.
- Dark Grey shorts, culottes.
- Short sleeved white collared shirt
- Sensible, school appropriate black flat-soled sandals (no open toe shoes).

P.E Kit
Children should have a PE kit in school at all times, it should consist of:
- White plain t-shirt or navy tracksuit sweatshirt
- Plain navy shorts or navy tracksuit bottoms
- Black plimsolls for indoors
- Training shoes for outdoors
- Black or navy tracksuit or school sweatshirt and jogging bottoms will be required in the colder months.
